Michigan is famous for a lot of things but I wasn't aware it was also the bologna capital of the world. One town has been celebrating with a bologna festival for 35 years.

Bologna doesn't just magically appear on store shelves, it has to be processed somewhere, and Michigan has several facilities that make sure your favorite sandwich meat is ready for your next meal.

A couple of the largest meat processing plants in Michigan are Koegel Meats and C. Roy Processing. These of course are just to name a few since there are several meat processing plants across the state.

C. Roy Processing plant is located in Yale Michigan and the original makers of the famous "Yale Bologna" which is a specialty they have been producing since 1924.
