Phone scammers are the worst, and so are phone companies for trying to make you pay to block them.

Michigan Woman Believed She Was Loaning Actor Mark Harmon 475K
Mark Harmon is a famous actor, and you may know him best from the long-running TV series NCIS. Harmon has done very well for himself, so my guess is he wouldn't need to ask a Michigan woman for a loan of nearly half a million dollars.
According to WXYZ, 68-year-old Sandy Selvan from Oxford, Michigan, says she sold her car and house and gave the money to an online scammer who convinced her he was actor Mark Harmon. Selvan said they planned to get married, so she thought. She gave up her life savings to this scammer.
The scammer romanced Selvan online for nearly a year and convinced her he was doing a movie in Italy and needed a few hundred thousand dollars to pay his crew since his money was tied up in California. The scammer also told her he would pay her back when he returned to the States to move in with her and her son.
After Selvan sent the $475,000, the scammer disappeared.

Scammers prey on lonely people, so beware of the "too good to be true" things that happen online.
