Metallica rallied their fanbase in 2018 with the inaugural All Within My Hands Foundation Day of Service. Now they're set to do it again, hoping to build upon the spirit of volunteerism last year. The second annual Day of Service will be Wednesday, May 22, with the band urging fans to volunteer at food banks in communities that the band has supported during their North American tour.

Last year, over 1,000 volunteers spent the day working at local food banks, and the band is asking for help in supporting the fight against hunger once again this year. The day is a collaborative effort spawned by Metallica with Feeding America and the All Within My Hands charitable foundation.

Over 50 food banks will be participating in activities, doubling last year's participation, and all fans who register to volunteer will receive the special All Within My Hands t-shirt. Space will be limited so if you are planning to participate, please register as early in advance as you can. No walk-ins will be accepted.

For those interested, you can head to Metallica.com or the AllWithinMyHands.org website to see the list of participating food banks and get information on how to register. Those who don't live near one of the participating food banks are still encouraged to visit FeedingAmerica.org to find out how they can contribute.
