Michigan-Based Booze Store, Deli Opening Second Grand Rapids Location

According to Crain's Grand Rapids, Mega-Bev is planning to open its eighth location in the state at 545 Lake Michigan Drive in Grand Rapids.

Mega-Bev opened its first Grand Rapids location in 2019, at the site of the former Russo's Italian market at 2770 29th Street.

Other Mega-Bev locations include:

• 5570 Beckley Rd. in Battle Creek
• 6619 West Main in Kalamazoo
• 106 Redfield Plaza in Marshall
• 7921 Oakland Drive in Portage
• 304 North Broadway in Hastings
• 3630 South Cedar Street in Lansing

While other Mega-Bev stores have move into existing buildings, the Lake Michigan Drive location is the first ground-up construction for the company.

The design process and construction has taken about two years.

Mega-Bev sells a variety of alcoholic beverages including beer, wine, and liquor. The deli and food department includes a variety of meats and cheeses, snacks, sauces, sweet treats and dips.

You'll also find sandwiches, soup, and pizza.

Crain's Grand Rapids reports that the new Lake Michigan Drive location will carry 15,000 to 20,000 different beer, wine and spirits options.

While an exact opening date has yet to be announced, it's expected the new store will open next month.
