Most of the time, the only place you find 30 family members in one spot is at a family reunion, but for the Putman family, that's just a family breakfast. Bill and Barb Putman's large family all live together under one roof, and their unique living situation earned them a short series on TLC back in 2017. The family has remained beloved around the state.

That's why when news broke that three of the Putmans passed away and five are in critical condition in a tragic car accident, it makes the news that much worse.

Meet The Putmans

Bill and Barb Putman and their large family were featured on TLC in 2017 for six episodes and allowed us to "Meet the Putmans", a family here in Michigan that now consists of "10 adults and 20 kids," living on a 35,000 sq ft. The family has continued posting online under the "Growing Up Putman" name since then.

The family is made up of Bill (Papa), Barb (Neenee), Billy, Jen, Brandon, Kacie, Blake, Megan, Jamie, Blair, Isabelle, Abby, Emma, Addison, Bella, Mercy, Gabby, Noah, Mya, Novia, Lulu, Alena, Gia, Jonah, Eli, Soomon, Uriah, Samson, Luke, and Anna.

A Tragic Accident

The Tuscola County Sheriff's Office announced a semi-truck driver failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a jeep carrying eight members of the Putman family. Bill and Barb, the heads of the Putman family, and their daughter-in-law, Megan, were announced deceased on the scene, while Blake, Lulu, Alena, Noah, and Gia were transported to the hospital.

The family has provided an update on Gia and Noah, stating that Gia underwent a craniotomy and her brain pressure has gone down significantly. Noah "is still sedated", but is responding with movement. Faith is at the center of this large family, and they are seeking prayers for healing.

This is nothing short of a tragedy and is one of the most heartbreaking things I've written about. This is a large, beautiful family going through one of the worst situations imaginable. Please refer to the Growing Up Putman Facebook page for updates on the wounded Putman's statuses.
