Mangiamo, an Italian restaurant in the Gilmore Collection, first opened inside a historic mansion at 1033 Lake Drive SE in 2005.
Originally built in 1873 by lumber baron, Augustus Paddock, the mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Back in 2017, it was announced that Mangiamo would be closing, and a new special event venue/ restaurant, Paddock Place, would be opening.
Now, Mangiamo is returning!
According to the Gilmore Collection,
Former patrons will find a new experience inside Mangiamo, as the vintage charm of the mansion has been enhanced with a swanky ambiance including draped velvet, soft lighting, roaring fireplaces, bespoke artwork, crystal glassware, gold flatware, and elevated hospitality. Each guest can expect the celebrity treatment from start to finish with a complimentary coat check, custom orders, VIPreservations, and a service team that is knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive.
In terms of the menu, Mangiamo is bringing back long-time favorites including the colossal 'Baseball' Meatball and the classic Chicken Piccata, while also expanding the menu to include a variety of modern Italian offerings, steaks, chops, and fresh seafood.
The mansion's rustic wine cellar has been transformed into Mo's Cocktail Lounge where you can enjoy classic cocktails, retro décor, and a hand-selected vinyl soundtrack.
Mangiamo will officially reopen January 10, 2024.
Events like weddings, birthdays, and wine tastings will continue to be hosted at the mansion.
