The Detroit Lions got a revenge win against the Dallas Cowboys but at a huge cost to their defense. Defensive end Aidan Hutchinson went down with a season-ending leg injury while sacking Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott in the 3rd quarter.

Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby was the first name I heard mentioned. Crosby had said if he were to leave the Raiders the only team he had interest in being on was the Detroit Lions. Crosby is still under contract through 2026 so it is unlikely the Lions will spend the money it would take to get him but you never know.

Another great candidate is the Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson who has requested a trade. Hendrickson is under contract through the end of the 2025 season so he would be more affordable than Crosby but not sure the Lions want to give up any players or spend that kind of money at this time.

The Lions did sign a defensive end from Cincinnati but it wasn't Hendrickson. Detroit picked up Isaiah Thomas from the Bengals practice squad. Thomas may still not be the guy but will get a shot. The Lions have until November 5 if they plan to meet the NFL's trade deadline if they are on the hunt for a superstar defensive end.
