According to FOX 17, USA Ice Fishing has partnered with the village of Lakeview, Michigan, to make it the permanent home for the U.S. Ice Fishing National Championship starting in 2026.

2024 was such a huge success in Lakeview; it was a no-brainer for USA Ice Fishing and the village to create a long-lasting partnership.

The 2026 USA Ice Fishing National Championship will be held February 19-22, 2026, on Lake Tamarack. A notable aspect of this tournament is the inclusion of educational programs for children and family-friendly activities throughout the weekend. The event concludes on Sunday with the final competition and an award ceremony.
