Some GRD listeners won the opportunity to meet members of Korn and try their coffee.

In my experience Korn always do all they can on stage and off stage for their fans and last night at Van Andel Arena was no exception.

Korn bassist Fieldy and Drummer Ray Luzier entertained some GRD fans in a q & a/trivia session backstage before the show. The guys allowed fans to ask anything and did some fun trivia while tossing about bags of Korns darkroast coffee to the winners.

This was a really cool meet and greet where you just didn't line up fans and take a picture and send them away, Fieldy and Ray, walked around the room and addressed fans, took pictures, signed stuff and really made the event pretty darn special.

After fans enjoyed some coffee and Fieldy and Ray wrapped things up, they then headed out to a fantastic show.

The show kicked off with a new band Bones UK and they performed a unique set and in my opinion that is a band you may want to keep an eye and check out sometime.

Breaking Benjamin came right out with the Diary of Jane and plowed through a slew of hits. You could hear the fans singing the words to all the songs in the set all night. I think we need to get Breaking Benjamin to come see us next time in the summer. The last three times they have came to town was in the winter and Ben was sick each time which doesn't allow a singer to have their best performance. All in all the fans loved them and the band gave the crowd plenty of times to take the lead vocal to help Ben out.

Korn really came out with a powerful set and a cool stage set up. Korn has always been one of the most original sounding bands of the past 25 years. Second song of the night was Blind and the crowd owned the line "Are You Ready" in the intro of the song. I have been to a lot of shows at Van Andel and so far the Korn fans were the loudest. It was a killer set and a very energetic show and I already look forward to the next one.

Below are some pictures from the Koffee with Korn event along with some photos from the show.
