The free, family-friendly tasting event features products from about 25 Michigan-based companies. Think of it as a walk-around showcase of local food and goods, all set up right inside the store.

What makes it even better is that many of the vendors are the actual makers themselves, so you're not just grabbing a sample and moving on. You can actually talk with the founders and small business owners behind the products, hear their stories, and get a feel for what makes each brand unique.
