The FDA issued a few top-level recalls, including some dark chocolate-covered almonds and raisins.

Cal Yee Farm LLC is recalling their "Dark Chocolate Walnuts, Dark Chocolate Raisins, Dark Chocolate Almonds, Yogurt Coated Almonds and Dark Chocolate Apricots [sold under Cal Yee’s or Cal Yee Farm brands], Tropical Trail Mix, Butter Toffee."

The company is also recalling their "Almonds [sold under Cal Yee’s and Boa Vista Orchards brands], Mango with Chili, Hot Cajun Sesame Sticks, New Orleans Hot Mix, Fruit Basket 2909 and Fruit Basket 2921."

Why are all of these products being recalled? Well, they may contain undeclared milk products, which could be deadly to anyone who’s allergic.

As of now, no illnesses have been reported at this time.

If any customers with milk, soy, wheat, sesame, FD&C #6 and almonds allergy/sensitivity have purchased the recalled items, the company is urging you not to consume any of the products.

If you have questions, you should call (707) 425-5327 or mariatmail03@gmail.com from 8 am-4:30 pm PST, Monday-Friday.

Frito-Lay Recall

Last night, I was craving the original Lay's chip. It might be for the best that I did not go out and buy them.

The FDA has issued a Level 1 recall of Lay's Potato Chips, which is considered the riskiest level. The "Class 1" level means that any exposure or consumption of the product could lead to very serious health issues and possible death.

The recall was first issued last month; however, the agency raised the recall level earlier this week. The chips are recalled due to the potential contamination of undeclared milk, which could cause issues for people with a milk allergy or sensitivity.

As of this publication date, the only items affected by this recall are Lay's Classic Potato Chips, with UPC numbers 28400 and 31041.

If you have a bag of Lay's Classic, you should immediately check if the product has a "Guaranteed Fresh" date of February, 11th, 2025, and have one of the manufacturing codes: 6462307x or 6463307xx.

Luckily, these recalled chips were only sold in Washington and Oregon; however, since the first recall, they could have been sent to other areas.

If you are a part of the recall, contact the Frito-Lay Company Consumer Relations department at 1-800-352-4477 between 9 AM and 4:30 PM CST, Monday through Friday.
