Who says politics cannot be a little fun?

DJs across the United States have been posting on social media, texting voters, providing updates on Instagram, and sending out postcards so people know that a DJ will be at their voting site.

Local DJs Bring The Soundtrack At Michigan Polls

When more people vote, that is good for the country.

"That’s why DJs at the Polls brings local DJs to polling sites around the country to celebrate the voting process with fun, family-friendly music."

In 2008, Anton Moore founded this initiative as a local Philadelphia program.

"DJs at the Polls is a national, non-partisan Get Out the Vote initiative that encourages more people to have their voices heard by making Election Day fun for the whole community."

On Election Day, November 5th, 2024, DJs will be spinning nationwide at more than 8,500 polling sites.

"In Detroit, Atlanta, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, and Atlanta, we aim to have DJs at almost every polling location. In smaller cities and rural areas, we will need fewer people. But overall, we will be hiring up to 4,500 DJs in more than 10 states."

The best part is...Grand Rapids and the entire state of Michigan are joining the political fun!

Here are the Grand Rapids DJs I know will be at the polls.

DJs at the Polls is still looking for more Michigan DJs to perform at the polls. If you are interested, you can sign up at the website now.

If you are not a DJ and still want to volunteer for DJs at the Polls, you can also sign up on the website.
