Where To Drop Off Your Christmas In East Lansing

Besides Grand Rapids, other cities are collecting Christmas trees, including East Lansing.

The City of East Lansing collects live-cut Christmas trees each winter. The trees will be chipped and used as mulch in East Lansing parks or donated to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources for use as rabbit habitats.

However, there are a few stipulations for collecting trees. All bags, holiday decor, and tree stands have been removed before recycling. Also, all trees taller than 6 feet have to be cut in half.

You can also get curbside pick-up for your tree any time between January 2nd-12th 2024.
