Where To Drop Off Your Christmas In Grand Rapids
When it comes to getting rid of your Christmas tree after the holidays, there are several drop-off locations in Grand Rapids.
"All trees collected are chipped and returned naturally to the ground," according to the GR Recycling Newsletter.
The drop-off sites are open from December 30th to January 31st.
Here are the locations you can drop the trees off:
- Riverside Park (2001 Monroe Ave NE) - North Entrance at Boat Launch #3
- MacKay-Jaycees Park (2531 Kalamazoo Ave SE)
- Lincoln Park (231 Marion Ave NW) - Garfield Ave NW entrance
- Huff Park (2286 Ball Ave NE) - Ball St Parking Lot
You can also get curbside pick up by attaching a $2.50 City bulk yard waste tag (purple tag) to the tree and placing it in the pickup area by 7 am on the regular refuse collection day.
You can buy the bulk yard waste tags at City Hall, 300 Monroe Ave NW, in the customer service lobby. City Hall is open Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm. Some local stores may also have the tags in stock.
