While the standard is always 'Innocent Until Proven Guilty," the evidence is certainly stacked against a man accused of stealing Hot Pockets from a store in Michigan.

Daniel Hudson is accused of stealing Hot Pockets from a Dollar General in Highland Park. When police arrested him, he was reportedly eating Hot Pockets in the breakroom where he works.

What Are the Details?

Police in Highland Park say Hudson entered the Dollar General at about 10 AM on January 4. He allegedly threatened to shoot a store employee who accused him of trying to boost the snack food.

A store employee says Hudson was yelling at employees while he was stuffing multiple Hot Pockets into his pockets. He grabbed a container of chicken wings, showed employees a gun that was in his coat pocket, and allegedly threatened an employee that he would "blow his head off."

Arrested While Eating Hot Pockets

Store employees called the police, who tracked Hudson down at his place of employment. WDIV-TV reports that officers found Hudson in the breakroom at his job eating Hot Pockets. They also discovered a 9 mm pistol in his backpack.

Authorities tell the TV station that the gun had not been reported stolen, but say it did not belong to Mr. Hudson. He does not have a valid permit to carry a gun.

Hudson claims he did not intend to steal the food, but did not see an employee which led him to put the Hot Pockets in his pocket.
