It was a wild night in Northern Michigan after a 21-year-old guy from the UP decided to skip out on paying the Mackinac Bridge toll and then floored it when cops tried to stop him.

According to Up North Live, around 2 a.m. Tuesday, police say the dude blew through the toll without paying. A Mackinaw City officer spotted him on the other side of the bridge, going way over the 45 mph limit.

Instead of pulling over, the driver punched it, hitting 110 mph while blasting through speed zones and blowing past traffic controls in a one lane construction area.

The chase went on for a couple of miles east on US 23 before the driver finally pulled over. But when the officer told him to shut off the car, police say this maniac hit the gas again, whipped a U-turn, clipped the front of the cruiser, causing minor damage, and tore off in the opposite direction.

After going back through the same construction zone, the driver finally stopped and got out of the car. Officers arrested him on the spot and took him to the Cheboygan County Jail.

The man is now facing several charges, including fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, damaging a police vehicle, failing to pay the toll, and speeding. Police haven’t said if he was drinking, and there’s no mention of that being a factor. Honestly, can you believe he pulled all that off at 2 a.m. sober? Wild.

Always pay the toll at the Mackinac Bridge...always.
