Cedar Point’s New Ride Gets Stuck 3 Times in a Week

Are you planning a trip to Cedar Point anytime soon? Have the urge to ride on their brand new attraction Siren's Curse? Maybe you shouldn't. Not until they work the kinks out of course. That is unless you like dangling awkwardly in the air, while regretting every life choice that has led you to that exact moment.

The ride is really living up to its name, "curse".

The Opening Day Disaster

So far since the ride has officially opened on June 28th, the ride has gotten stuck three times... three! The first time was literally on the opening day of the ride, then again on July 2nd, and then most recently on July 6th. That's like what, three strikes in a week?

Don't get me wrong though, Cedar Point is legendary! The rides, the water park, all the awesome delicious food. But this ride seems like it was built by a bored Greek god with some kind of mean streak. Maybe it's siren's coming back for revenge after using their names.

Riders have been suspended midair for up to 40 minutes, stuck in a vertical position, and forced to, just hang in there. No snacks... no escapes... maybe cell service, but that seems scary. (What if you drop your phone)

The worst part about it all though. Is you know someone had waited about two hours in that line, got themselves strapped in. Enjoyed the ride for a moment, only to get stuck.

I am in love with a good adrenaline rush as much as the next guy, but maybe you should hold off on riding the rides till the bugs are worked out? I'm headed to the Dippin' Dots stand to watch you though.
