It was around this time in 2019 when a story broke out from Gladwin County that took the Internet by storm, involving four Michigan men who decided to have a night out on the town.

Unfortunately, for them, it would end with an overnight stay behind bars as the four Michigan men were arrested for not only drinking underage, but also causing a disturbance in broad daylight, throwing beer cans from their mode of transportation.

What was that motive transportation, you may wonder? Of course, it was a horse and buggy.

All four of the passengers were arrested on charges a felony obstruction of justice, disorderly person, and given civil infractions for minors in possession of alcohol after they were arrested in Beaverton Township.

But what occurred afterwards was a slew of memes that were spent absolutely cooking these dudes. Now, I’m not huge on public shaming, but there is one meme in particular that was absolutely ruthless that went viral, claiming that the four young men look like villagers from the Shrek movie.

Since then, I’ve never been able to look at them the same. They put up a fight, too, refusing to give deputies their names and falsifying their information, but it only lasted so long before the jig was up.

It’s been six years since that incident, so hopefully, since then, the young men have grown to be a little bit more mature as adults and don’t take the Shrek meme too personally. I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe, they'll never do it again.
