Walker joined the Michigan State University Spartans in 2021 after spending two seasons playing for Wake Forest. His one and only season with the Spartans netted him 1,636 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns. He came in sixth in the Heisman rankings that season.

Walker decided to forgo the 2022 season and instead declare for the NFL Draft. He was drafted in the second round by the Seattle Seahawks and has played there ever since - until now.

It's unclear what Walker's impact will be on offense for the Chiefs, but quarterback Patrick Mahomes seems stoked to have Walker as a teammate. Following Walker's announcement on X, Mahomes reposted it along with the comment, "LET'S GO!!" accompanied by two muscle flexing emojis.
