Look for Snow Over Thanksgiving Weekend and Very Cold!
Yes, snow is on it's way!
Our meteorologists weather partners at Fox17 said we can look forward to a shifting weather pattern into the holiday weekend and that means cold and snow.
👇BELOW: FIND OUT HOW COLD AND HOT IT HAS BEEN!👇
By tomorrow, Wednesday, we'll have a chance for a rain/snow mix. Then Thursday, Thanksgiving day, look for colder air moving in and lake effect snow setting up after Thanksgiving Day through the weekend. This time, it will probably" stick around," so to speak.
I guess this will really be cold slap back to reality in the days to come after Thanksgiving.
No one really knows how long this will last, but it will stay for a bit and with snow.
How Cold Will it Be?
Our sister station in Lansing, WITL, says temperatures will be in the mid 20s to low 30s for several days. Overnight lows will dip into the upper teens to mid 20s. Not climbing above freezing for several days in a row will allow ice to begin to form on some bodies of water, although it won't be safe enough to walk on for quite a while.
And, if that is not enough, some predictions are showing the sub-freezing cold may last into mid December, not warming up to near 40 until the week before Christmas.
That is either good news or bad news because that may mean a somewhat mild Christmas and not a white Christmas. Major bummer!
Let's face it, this is Michigan and all of this forecasting is literally best guess stuff using current information. Who knows, will be see 50s on Christmas?
