Good News! Michigan’s Irish Festival Is Back in Muskegon
For over 26-years Muskegon has been the host of the Michigan Irish Festival and it's back this year for another celebration of the green.
It's on the shores of Muskegon Lake in September and brings great Irish food, fun, entertainment and of course beer!
We all become Irish on St. Patrick's Day and during the Irish Festival. Thousands turn out for the festival and it makes for a perfect family outing.

September 17 through the 20th, Heritage Landing will host over 25 bands and musical artists on six stages with tons of fun for all.
One of the highlights from last year is back. “Not Your Dadio’s Ceili” will be there. This is an all-inclusive group dance experience is hosted by Ceili caller Éamonn de Cógáin. People of all skill levels will be guided through a fun square-dance style event.
And you can't forget the Hurling Demonstration. It's an Irish game the resembles field hockey. You'll even get your chance to "hurl" on Saturday the 19th from 11am to 4pm.
There will be interactive workshops including sessions on Celtic drumming, flute playing, and limerick writing. You'll even be meeting dogs. Yes, the ever popular Celtic Canines will be there for a meet and greet on Sunday from 11am-2pm.
Are you a storyteller? This is your chance since there will be several storytelling opportunities including live actors from Muskegon’s “City of the Dead” portraying notable people from local history on Friday night from 8:30-9:30pm.
I haven't mentioned the food yet, but it's going to be fabulous along with live cooking demonstrations from the Baker College Culinary Institute of Michigan, featuring authentic Irish cuisine. For guests 21 and older, separately ticketed Tasting Classes are available including Whiskey Tasting & Cheese Pairing with Wonderland Distilling Company and a Five Farms Irish Cream Cocktail Mixology Class.
