The website Niche has just published their top 100 list of the top spots/cities, to live in America. How did Michigan rank?

We actually got two in the top 100 list of best cities.

To compile it, Niche used federal data from the Census Bureau, FBI, Labor Bureau and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as reviews from residents.

We came in at number 75 and a grade of A-. Niche had this to say about us:

"Grand Rapids is a city in Michigan with a population of 197,858. Grand Rapids is in Kent County and is one of the best places to live in Michigan. Living in Grand Rapids offers residents a dense suburban feel and most residents own their homes. In Grand Rapids there are a lot of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and parks. Many families and young professionals live in Grand Rapids and residents tend to have moderate political views."

No other cities in Michigan made the top 100 but some close neighbors did. Chicago was number 81, also with an A- grade. Fort Wayne, Indiana, came in at 87 with a grade of A-, and Indianapolis was number 93, graded at an A-.

Other Michigan cities in the rankings were Lansing at 130, and Warren at 179, with Detroit coming in at 197.
