Which Michigan Cities Considered the Rattiest Cities in America?

Did you know that Grand Rapids ranks as one of the rattiest city in America?

Wait a minute. We have a vibrant downtown, the river walk of the Grand River, beautiful parks, great neighborhoods, I could go on. So why on a national level did we make the Rattiest Cities in America list?

Because we're not talking dirty and ugly here. We're talking ratty, as in a real rat problem!

Yikes!! Grand Rapids has rats? We sure do!

The Orkin company has just released their 2024 rankings for the Rattiest Cities in America, and, yes, Grand Rapids made the list. The good news is that we are doing better and are considered sort of less ratty! That's okay, isn't it?

Needless to say the Orkin list is comprised of the biggest cities in the U.S., and we, Grand Rapids, were the 23rd Rattiest City last year. However, this year we ranked 27th! Good job all because that's the kind of list you want to be as close to last as you can be.

Detroit sadly made the top ten, not really a good thing. They came in at number eight. They are going the wrong way because they ranked number 9 last year. Get those rat traps and cheese out!

So where are the top rattiest cities in America?

The top five are:

#5 WASHINGTON DC

#4 SAN FRANCISCO

#3 NEW YORK

#2 LOS ANGELES

and.....#1 is.....

CHICAGO, once again home to the biggest of America's rat problem.
