Police/Parents Still Searching For Missing Cedar Springs Teen
UPDATE (7/3/2024): In a release on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, the Kent County Sheriff's Department updated the last known sighting of 17-year-old Penny Wise. According to the release, Penny was last seen on camera by the Corner Bar in Rockford around midnight on June 1, 2024. She was captured on camera walking alone.
UPDATE (6/7/2024): Police have obtained surveillance video from a home on Rockford Park Dr. from May 31, 2024 at around 6:00 p.m. In the image, Penny is seen wearing a pink tank top and shorts.
Anyone who sees Penny or has information about her whereabouts is asked to call the Kent County Sheriff's Office Detective Bureau at 616-632-6125 during regular business hours, or their main line at 616-632-6100 after business hours.

While foul play is not suspected in this case, and it is instead believed that Penny walked away from her home intentionally, police and her family are concerned for her well-being, especially since she has been missing for so long.
ORIGINAL STORY: The parents of a missing Cedar Springs girl along with authorities from around the area are still searching for 17-year-old Penelope 'Penny' Wise.
Penny left her Cedar Springs home on foot around 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31. Her parents have not seen or heard from her since.
Her parents say that they are especially concerned for Penny's safety because she has struggled with mental health in the past.
The last time that Penny was possibly sighted was Friday evening heading southbound on Summit between 12 & 13 Mile Roads.
Penny's parents, Mishael and Dave, have been sharing updates as they come in. According to the Facebook post in which they share their updates, the shirts that Penny was wearing when she left the home were found at Morley Park during a search on Sunday. Police also told her parents that they tracked her logging into her email on Friday night around 9:00 p.m. at Crossfire Church in Rockford.
