As SNAP Benefits Drop, Here’s Where to Find Food Help in Grand Rapids
For more than a million Michiganders, next week will bring another tough challenge: the end of extra SNAP benefits that so many families have come to rely on. For those already walking a financial tightrope, that means another layer of worry, especially when it comes to putting food on the table.
If that’s you right now, please know this: you’re not alone, and there is help out there.
Grand Rapids and West Michigan are filled with incredible organizations ready to make sure you and your family don’t go hungry. And for those of us who can help, now is the time to step up and lend a hand, whether that’s with a donation, a few cans of food, or a couple of hours volunteering.

And if you’re one of the lucky ones who can give a little right now, this is the perfect moment to do it. Food donations, cash gifts, and volunteer time are all desperately needed to keep shelves stocked and families fed.
The bottom line: Grand Rapids always shows up for its neighbors. Let’s make sure that continues, especially when so many are feeling the squeeze.
