Detroit Bolsters Run Game: Chiefs Star Pacheco Signs with Lions
NFL free agency is underway and the Detroit Lions have made another move to try and improve the team.

They've filled the running back void left by trading David Montgomery to the Houston Texans in exchange for offensive lineman Juice Scruggs, a 2026 fourth-round pick, and a 2027 seventh-round pick.
Joining Jahmyr Gibbs in the backfield will be Isiah Pacheco, who signed a one year deal on Tuesday.
According to ESPN, Pacheco was the Kansas City Chiefs' starting running back for much of his time in the past four seasons.
In 13 games last season, he finished with 462 rushing yards and two total touchdowns.

Concerns About Isiah Pacheco
While Pacheco is a 2 time super bowl champion with the Kansas City Chiefs, there is some concern about what he'll be able to do for the Detroit Lions.
Back In week 2 of the 2024 season Pacheco had to leave the game after his broke a bone in his leg.
That injury caused him to miss 10 more games and has not been able to put up the same impressive numbers like he did in past Superbowl years.
I'm hopeful that with the Lions addressing their offensive line needs will help Pacheco and Gibbs to put up some record setting numbers.

With NFL free agency starting just this week it will be interesting to see if the Lions do any more deals in free agency or if they just start planning for the NFL draft which happens next month.
