Is Motor City Frozen Pizza the Best? Pizzaholics Think So

There has been a long debate on what frozen pizza is the best. A Facebook group specializing in pizza says Motor City frozen pizza is the best.

The phrase "there's no such thing as bad pizza" for the most part is true but there are pizzas that are better than others. That goes for restaurants, carryout, and frozen pizza.

I have been a lifelong musician and radio broadcaster so I keep some strange hours and always have a few frozen pizzas tucked away in the freezer in case I get home late and get hungry. Needless to say, I have tried them all.

I am a big fan of Detroit-style pizza from Jett's Pizza but one day I was shopping at a big grocery store chain and stumbled across Motor City Pizza Co. and fell in love with it. Often the hours I keep nothing is open when I'm heading home from work so Motor City Pizza Co. has come in handy often over the past couple of years.

Is Motor City Frozen Pizza the Best? Pizzaholics Think So

The Pizzaholics Facebook page is a group dedicated to all things pizza. They showcase all varieties of pizza while recently the topic of Motor City Pizza Co. came up. Pizzaholic Tyler Torello posted a photo of Motor City Pizza Co. and said, "Might be the best-frozen pizza I've had. At least 9/10."  I was immediately excited because I agreed. Then looking at the Facebook thread it seemed Torello and I were alone because almost every response suggested a different frozen pizza as the best.

As I was sifting through this Facebook thread I discovered a bunch of frozen pizzas I had never heard of so it looks like I have more to try. The sad thing was not many had much good to say about Motor City Pizza Co. and I was a little shocked.

After sifting through all these posts on the Pizzaholics Facebook page Motor City Pizza Co. did come up as number 1 but Home Run Inn Pizza and Screaming Sicilian frozen pizzas were very popular with a close second and third. I have tried Home Run Inn and it's good but looks like I'll have to grab a Screaming Sicilian next time I'm in the frozen aisle.
