Although I've never tried to drive with one of my feet out of the window, I have seen it done by other drivers. However, is this legal in Michigan?

I know it can get hot in summer driving especially if you don't have air conditioning so is it legal or illegal in Michigan to hang one of your feet out of the window while driving?

Driving with one of your feet out of the window is nearly impossible with a manual transmission. Automakers don't make many of those anymore so let's assume the leg out of the window is for automatic transmission drivers only.

Technically, Michigan has no law stating Michiganders cannot drive a vehicle with their leg out of their window.  According to The Clark Law Office, if you are driving your car while seated improperly you could be charged with a civil infraction for driving recklessly. So there is a catch.

No Michigan law states a passenger can't hang their feet out of the window while riding a vehicle but if the driver gets too close to a mailbox trying to avoid a deer could mean trouble for your toes and feet.
