New Hope for Hunters With Disabilities in West Michigan
If you've had a life-changing accident and now have mobility issues, Hunt 2 Heal can help you with activities like hunting or fishing.
I couldn't imagine not being able to go hunting or fishing because of an accident. A non-profit in West Michigan is changing that.
Michigan Hunting and Fishing
Michigan offers numerous hunting and fishing opportunities, with some being among the best in the entire country. I've spent my whole life hunting and fishing in Michigan, and I can't imagine what it would be like if something ever kept me out of the woods or off the water.
Mobility issues can be caused by a myriad of causes, including injuries, illnesses, and the natural aging process. These kinds of things can make it very difficult for someone to go hunting or fishing.

Hunt 2 Heal Gives Disabled Hunters A New Opportunity
Hunt 2 Heal is a 640-acre lodge and hunting property that offers individuals with mobility challenges the opportunity to hunt free of charge on fully accessible land. Following a motorcycle accident that left him paralyzed, Carson Nyenhuis founded Hunt 2 Heal. Now, he helps others with mobility challenges return to the outdoors.
Nyenhuis has a new purpose in life, and that is to give people like himself hope to do things they never thought they could do again. All of the hunting blinds are wheelchair friendly. Even the lodge is designed with wide doorways, with bedrooms and bathrooms that cater to those with mobility issues.

If you or someone you know would like to learn more about Hunt 2 Heal, go to their website www.hunt2heal.com. The lodge is located at 2402 W. 15 Mile Rd. in Bitely. Contact Hunt 2 Heal headquarters at 616-610-0252.
