Shoveling is something I have done a lot of in my day. When I was finally big enough and old enough and could handle the driveway myself that became my gig like mowing the lawn.

I used to get mad at the plow trucks because, by the time I got to the end of the driveway and thought I was done, one would come by and fill the end of it back in. This was back when Michigan got lots of snow from November through March.

How Early is Too Early to Shovel?

I'm with that guy because if that is the difference between making it to work on time, you have to do what you got to do.

I get it. I have Amish neighbors, and they let their generator run half the night when it's supposed to be turned off at 10, so if I fire up the plow at that time they should be fine with it.

Preach on brother! I live in snow and farm country and when the farmer is plowing a field at midnight because it's cooler out and has a ton of fields to get done, I chalk it up as farm country and the same goes for snow removal. We wouldn't want to plow trucks to only run during the day, would we?

It seems unanimous that if it snows in Michigan, it's never too early to shovel, snowblow, or plow it.
