If you are a fan of the Hot Pocket, buyer beware, there has been a recall.

As rough as a Hot Pocket can be to a person's body, I couldn't imagine eating one that is confirmed contaminated. My bowels just clinched at the thought of it.

According to WOOD, the United States Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection announced that Nestle Prepared Foods is recalling nearly 765,000 pounds of pepperoni Hot Pockets.

How many times have you eaten a Hot Pocket and you later wished someone could recall it from your stomach?

The USDA said, there were some Hot Pockets that "may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically pieces of glass and hard plastic." That is a serious mishap there.

Four different people have issued complaints about Hot Pockets having pieces of glass and or plastic in them. One person did suffer an injury to their mouth in connection with eating the product.

If you have purchased any of the 54-ouce packages containing 12 Nestle Hot Pockets Brand Sandwiches, these are the beef and chicken pizza garlic buttery crust or the premium pepperoni pockets you will need to check the box for these codes that have a best of date before Feb 2022:

  • 0318544624
  • 0319544614
  • 0321544614

Another thing to look for is the establishment number that is inside the USDA mark of inspection. Look for EST. 7721A.

If you have one of these products the USDA is urging you not to eat it. Just through them away or return them to the place you purchased.
