The massage parlor is a term that has long been associated with prostitution. For hundreds of years, massage parlors have been a front organization for prostitution or even a euphemism for a brothel.

For rehabilitation for ailments, hospitals perform massages on patients. Sports teams often have a team masseuse to help players who are sore from injuries. Most massage therapists are on the up and up and do their jobs properly, but there are many stories of massage parlors offering a little more than a back or foot rub.

Ottawa Co. Massage Parlor Under Investigation for Prostitution & Sexual Misconduct

There is a business in this strip mall located at 671 Douglas Avenue, in Holland, Michigan named Rong Massage which specializes in Chinese massage. Their website says "Feel relaxed and renewed today!" Investigators and witnesses are saying things are a bit too relaxed at Rong Massage.

According to WZZM, a customer complaint of sexual assault back in July of 2023 alerted the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office to begin an investigation. Since then other complaints have surfaced about people receiving a massage while being inappropriately touched by the masseuse. Deputies say there have been acts where money has exchanged hands while some customers claim their masseuse touched them inappropriately.

So far no arrests have been made and now the case is in the hands of Ottawa County prosecutors, deputies say criminal charges are very likely in this case based on the evidence they have gathered.
