Police: GWAR Singer Dave Brockie’s Death Investigated as Drug-Related
Breaking news on the death of GWAR frontman Dave Brockie (a.k.a. Oderus Urungus).
According to a Richmond, Va., news outlet WTVR, law enforcement is investigating Brockie’s death as drug-related based on evidence gathered at the scene of the singer’s death.
On the evening of March 23, Brockie was found dead on a sofa in his Richmond home by a roommate.
Initially, no cause of death had been announced or even speculated. However, sadly, it seems that drug use may have ended Brockie’s life.
According to WTVR, since drug-related evidence was found by police, a toxicology report will be made, but it could be six weeks or more until the results are processed and made public.
Brockie’s official cause of death will be determined by the state medical examiner.
