Grand Rapids Police put out an alert on Friday afternoon as they are looking for a local man with serious health issues as the Facebook post states, and they're hoping the community can help them find him.

The man is 58-year-old Bruce Ellis Mathews and he was last seen as he left his home on the 1600 block of Lockhart Drive NW in Grand Rapids around 7:30 pm Tuesday night. He left in his blue Honda Odyssey which has damage to the rear bumper and front right fender and has the Michigan license plate 8LSX87.

Police also gave more of a description of what he was wearing Tuesday night when he was last seen leaving his house,

"MATTHEWS may be wearing a black zip up coat and dress pants. He was also recently hospitalized for a heart condition and it is believed he does not have any medication with him."

The GRPD Facebook post as anyone in the community with information on where he is or might be, OR if you happen to come into contact with him to call 911 and let them know the info or you can call the detective assigned to his case, Detective Emily Cutright at (616) 456-4683.
