Griffins Purple Game Goes Virtual Tonight
Tonight's Grand Rapids Griffins game will be the annual 'Purple Game' to raise funds for Van Andel Institute, and because of pandemic restrictions and limited attendance at Van Andel Arena, many of the activities will be going virtual for the night.
Every year the Griffins swap out their normal gear for the purple jerseys and it's become one of the most popular games every season. Not only because they raise money for a great cause, but because hardcore fans loved getting exclusive gear only available once a year.
This year you can stream the game live, get exclusive gear online, and participate in this year's collectibles and exclusives auction virtually. All from the comfort of your couch.
You can currently bid until Monday on items like Detroit Red Wings tickets, Griffins signed jerseys, sticks and pucks, and more HERE. Plus the exclusive Purple Community/Griffins gear usually sold on gamenight is available HERE.
You can also register for the event to get streaming options for the game, and be entered to win a prize pack that will include limited-edition, co-branded Griffins and VAI Purple Community apparel, Biggby gift cards and more.
Fans can also watch the game locally on WXSP, you can find WXSP on all local cable systems, in addition to the following low-power channels in the area:
WOBC – channel 14 in Battle Creek
WOLP – channel 27 in Grand Rapids
WOHO – channel 33 in Holland
