While Greta Van Fleet's Anthem of the Peaceful Army is still fresh, the upstart rockers are making sure the momentum keeps going by planning to work on a new album for 2019.

During a chat with Billboard, bassist Sam Kiszka revealed the band's 2019 plans. "A lot more writing, getting some stuff recorded and start working on the next thing," said the bassist, while drummer Danny Wagner added when asked if 2019 included new music, "Oh yeah, absolutely. I'll quit if we don’t." Frontman Josh Kiszka jumped in, "We'll all quit; we’re parting ways if we don't release new music."

According to the group, the band started writing more material the day they finished recording Anthem of the Peaceful Army and they've already got several completed tracks.

Before new music arrives, the guys will get a chance to celebrate the music they've already released. Greta Van Fleet were recently nominated for four Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist. The band also earned nominations for Best Rock Performance ("Highway Tune"), Best Rock Song ("Black Smoke Rising") and Best Rock Album (From the Fires). The ceremony will take place Feb. 10 in Los Angeles.

Just because new music is on the band's "to-do" list, don't expect the band's touring to slow down. They're finishing out the year with a handful of dates and have shows booked into July for 2019.
