Grand Rapids Tapas Joint Closes, New Restaurant to Open in Its Place
Things are shifting in the Grand Rapids dining scene!
MLive reports that Zoko822 on 822 Ottawa Ave. NW will close on February 1. Geoff Gaskin, president of CDKI Holdings, plans to replace it the second week of February with Sandy Point Beach House, which has another existing location in West Olive.
Zoko822 won't be gone for good though; Gaskin aims to reopen the Spanish tapas and gin joint at 2130 Plainfield Ave. NE later in the year.
Sandy Point Beach House close to downtown GR will serve burgers, halibut, steak, roasted chicken, mussels, and more. You can check out the West Olive location's menu here.
Gaskin told MLive,
Bringing Sandy Point Beach House’s standard of Live Jazz Thursdays, Easy Listening Music Fridays, and our renowned Reggae Saturdays to the new Grand Rapids location this summer should make for a great time."
CDKI Dining also owns MeXo at 118 Fulton St. E in Grand Rapids.
