Large Police Presence Downtown Grand Rapids, Portion of Monroe Ave. Closed
On Friday afternoon, multiple Grand Rapids Police Department vehicles, along with what appears to be a forensics unit van, were parked on a shut down portion of Monroe Ave. downtown.
Monroe Ave. was cordoned off between Louis St. and Campau Ave. NW with yellow caution tape.
These pictures were taken at 3:50p.m. on Friday, March 24.
Multiple GRPD officers were on-site.
According to a bystander, a person had jumped from one of the upper levels of the parking ramp on Monroe Ave. NW across from the AC Hotel.
This has not been confirmed by law enforcement and GRPD have yet to release an official statement.
