My Favorite Places To Go in Grand Rapids

I have only lived in the Grand Rapids area for 7.5 years, but I visited many times before moving here. Van Andel Arena has been my go-to place for arena concerts long before I lived in the area.  The arena is not too big, or too small, there are no bad seats in the house, and the venue always sounds good.

My other go-to place is GLC Live at 20 Monroe, which is an excellent mid-sized venue. The venue hosts great shows, with excellent sound, no bad seats. In the last 7.5 years, I have had a lot of fun at GLC Live.

Part of my job is hosting concerts, which is a great perk since going to shows is one of my favorite things to do, but I work so much that I rarely get to enjoy local restaurants, bars, clubs, parks, and anything else the city has to offer.
