While some people choose to write their vows, below is the standard version:

I (your name), take you, (partner's name), to be my husband/wife. To have and to hold, from this day forward. For better, for worse. For richer, for poorer. In sickness and in health. To love and to cherish. Till death do us part.

'Till death do us part' is intended to refer to a natural end to life.

The day after Alicia served divorce papers to Marcus, the two got in a heated argument, causing her to feel unsafe and lock herself into a bedroom. Marcus allegedly kicked in the door and shot her as she attempted to climb out of the window. Police found her dead at the scene in the grass next to the house.
