We were as surprised as anyone when we saw the nominees for Best Metal Performance at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards. The nominating committee has let us down so many times, we kind of gave up on them.

But this year's nominees -- August Burns Red's "Invisible Enemy," Body Count's "Black Hoodie," Code Orange's "Forever," Meshuggah's "Clockworks" and Mastodon's "Sultan's Curse" -- mirrors our favorite records of 2017.

But who should actually win this now-presigious award? Three of our writers -- Joe DiVita, Graham Hartmann and John Hill -- each weigh in. Watch the video above to see who our guys think deserve to step into the winners circle.

The awards -- as well as most of the rock categories, where Metallica, the Foo Fighters and Chris Cornell have some nominations -- will be announced during the pre-telecast, which you can watch live, this Sunday at GRAMMY.com/live starting at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT. Be advised: a lot of other awards are given out during the pre-telecast (but Body Count will be one of the performers).  And we'll comment on the awards that we care about on on social channels during the ceremony.
