Metallica partners with the company Wolverine and work together to support the next generation of skilled workers. For the 5th year, Wolverine and Metallica Scholars have teamed up for a line of products with 50% of sales going to the program, which is huge.

Former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted is from Battle Creek, Michigan, and has several family members living in the state.
One of those family members is Ben Newsted who opened the newest record store in Grand Rapids called Boomtown Records. They are located at 1809 Plainfield Avenue NE. So if you are looking for a new place to shop for vinyl Boomtown Records has over 2,500 albums to choose from with more coming in all the time. Once again connecting Metallica to Grand Rapids.
