Garage Bar Opening Second Location in Grand Rapids

Another Garage Bar & Grill is coming to Grand Rapids. 

Fox 17 reports that Gar Bar bought Drake’s Pub at 3766 Division Avenue last year. They'll be closing the pub March 6 to remodel and build a new kitchen, and reopen as a second Garage Bar & Grill location.

The project is expected to take a few weeks.

Restaurateur Kevin Farhat is joined by executive chef Shaen Abbott as operating partner.

Abbott said in a press release,

Don’t let the ‘bar’ name fool you, Garage Bar & Grill has won several awards for its menu, so we are excited to bring new, fresh items at a fair price to Godwin Heights. No frozen food here, just fresh ingredients that arrive daily from our local suppliers."

The original Garage Bar & Grill opened on Ottawa Ave. NW in Grand Rapids' North Monroe Industrial District in the fall of 2014.
