If Friday the 13th isn't already weird enough, we will also have a rare full moon to make the day even spookier.

According to WZZM and the Farmer's Almanac, the full moon that lands in September will be known as the Harvest Moon since the full Moon will be the closest to the autumnal equinox.

If you want to get technical about it, since we are in the Eastern time zone, the exact time the moon will get full be on Saturday the 14th at 12:33 a.m. but it will still be nice and full on Friday night. This might be a good night to visit the Haunt if you are looking for the perfect night to go to a haunted house.

Either way we will have a full moon Thursday night through Sunday Morning.

Having a full moon on Friday the 13th is a very rare occurrence in the United States. The last time the entire country had a full Moon was October 13, 2000 and this will not happen again until August 13, 2049 when hopefully the country is greener.

Another name for the Harvest Moon is Micro moon since the Moon will be at its fathest from the Earth in its orbit.

But that's not all that's extra special about the 2019 Harvest Moon.

According to the Farmer's Almanac that even though the Moon will look 14% smaller, most people won't even notice the difference.
