Free Beer & Hot Wings: Two Massive Container Ships Collide In Suez Canal [Video]
Two vessels in Egypt’s Suez Canal collided Monday, causing large traffic delays in one of the world's busiest trade routes.
The German-flagged MV Colombo Express and the Singaporean-flagged MV Maersk Tanjong collided after one of the vessels experienced technical problems with its rudder, knocking four containers into the sea and a putting large dents in the ships.
There were no casualties, but the collision caused backups for three hours and is expected to continue causing delays until the ships are removed, The Wall Street Journal reported.
