Back in 1978, Rob Wright was a 12-year-old living in Fontana, Calif.

While his father was repairing a wall in the family's home, Rob had the idea to make an impromptu time capsule and hide it in the wall.

So, he gathered up a bunch of junk, including a McDonald's scratch-off game piece, a couple coins and a newspaper clipping and stuffed them in the wall.

In December nearly 40 years later, the current homeowner of the Fontana residence was doing renovations and came across the time capsule, Los Angeles' KABC-TV reported. The find gained attention on social media and Wright got wind of it.

Just recently, Wright made the trip back to Fontana and was reunited with his box of garbage, err, memories.

What would 12-year-old you have put in a time capsule? Let us know.
