A three-year-old girl and her grandmother were asked to leave a KFC in Jackson, Miss., recently after an employee said that the young girl's facial scars were scaring other customers.

The girl was the victim of a vicious dog attack in April, and it has left her face scarred and partially paralyzed.

They stopped into the Jackson KFC earlier this month to get some mashed potatoes, since it's difficult for the girl to eat solid foods. That was when the incident took place, WAPT-TV reported.

A KFC spokesman responded, saying that they "take this very seriously, as (they) have zero tolerance for any kind of hurtful or disrespectful actions toward (their) guests."

Not surprisingly, the backlash towards KFC was swift and KFC has followed up, WAPT-TV reported.
