Free Beer & Hot Wings: Detroit’s ‘RoboCop’ Statue is Under Way [Video]

After a successful Kickstarter campaign a couple years ago that raised $67,000, the Motor City will be the recipient of a 10-foot-tall statue portraying the main character from the 1987 film "RoboCop."

Detroit-based company Venus Bronze Works is behind the creation of this behemoth.

As you can see in the video, construction is under way in Detroit. And it looks magnificent.
