Kelly Cheese has been with the show since April 1, 2019, and what a wild first day. The company had received a cyber attack and the show went commercial-free that morning since there was nothing to fill the space. Now that's a heck of a first day on the job.

Maitlynn was an intern for the Free Beer and Hot Wings Show when I arrived in 2018 but after a couple of years, she moved on to Lansing as a morning show co-host. After a couple of years, she stepped away from radio only to rejoin the show a little over a year ago.

The Free Beer and Hot Wings Show has grown for 20 years. The show is in nearly 50 markets but is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. 9 years ago the show began doing its show live once a year the morning before Thanksgiving at the Intersection. The show has expanded to doing live morning shows in other markets around the country and doing non-radio shows called Live at Night.

The pre-Thanksgiving tradition will continue at the Intersection Wednesday at 6 a.m. on November 27th. Tickets will go on sale Friday, September 27th at 10 a.m. G.A. tickets are $25 but there are two options for VIP tickets. The VIP area has been extended to the first 4 rows in front of the stage but two new VIP areas have been added that include bartenders on the right and left elevated portions of the venue. Each VIP ticket includes early entry to the venue, a t-shirt (pick your size when purchasing your ticket), and an autographed poster. Alcohol will begin being served at 7 a.m. but barbeque from Sweet Racks & Smokin' Butts will be available for purchase when the doors open to help you build a base before having those drinks. The Free Beer and Hot Wings Show live at the Intersection gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at how the show works giving fans a chance to be a part of the show in real time.
