Now that's a whopper catfish! According to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Codie Carlson was bowfishing at Plum Creek in Monroe County when he arrowed the new state record flathead catfish. The flathead weighed 64.46 pounds and measured 45 inches long.

The previous record was held by Lloyd Tanner, of Hobar, Indiana, who caught a 53.35-pound fish while fishing the St. Joseph River in Berrien County.
