A fire broke out early Friday morning at an industrial building in Grand Rapids. It took more than 45 firefighters and 15 firetrucks to put the fire out.

The fire started at Steeltech Limited, 1251 Phillips Ave SW around 1am. Firefighters found the fire burning in one side of the building. It was a large fire. Battalion Chief Eric Freeman of the Grand Rapids Fire Department says the fire was so large crews were forced to shuttle in water from additional communities like Plainfield Township, Walker and Kentwood to get the fire under control.

Fox 17 is reporting the fire caused the roof to cave in and a lot of damage to the building. A power pole fell while firefighters were battling the blaze. No one was injured in the fire. The building was empty at the time. Firefighters had the fire under control in about an hour. Investigators in Grand Rapids are trying to determine the cause of a fire.
